EUROSPINE built the EUROSPINE Conference App app as a free app. This SERVICE is provided by EUROSPINE at no cost and is intended for use as is.
This page is used to inform users regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information if anyone decided to use our service.
1) Information Collection and Use
For a better experience, while using our service, we may require you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information, including but not limited to your
- First and last name
- Email address
- The content of direct chat messages to other members
- The content of direct email messages to speakers
- Saved bookmarks
Chat messages to other members we store those messages on our server for a period of one year. Moreover, we would never submit such messages to a third party.
Direct email messages to speakers mean that your message will be send automated through our onboard email service to the speakers' email address which he or she submitted during the registration process. Afterwards, the speaker can choose to answer the message or not.
2) Log Data
We want to inform you that whenever you use our service, in the case of an error in the app we collect data and information on your phone called log data. This log data may include information such as your devices IP address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app when utilizing our service, the time and date of your use of the service.
3) How we share your information with third parties?
We gain the following information through the eSociety to provide the described services in the Participant Area:
- Password (end-to-end secured, we never store or see your password)
4) What are your rights on your information?
The European Unions General Data Protection Regulation and other countries privacy laws provide certain rights for data subjects.
You can view, edit, or delete your personal data. If you wish to confirm that we are processing your personal data, or to have access to the personal data we may have about you, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Reasonable access to your personal data will be provided at no cost to you by us. If access cannot be provided within a reasonable time frame, we will provide you with a date when the information will be provided. If for some reason access is denied, we will provide an explanation as to why access has been denied.
You may also request information about: the purpose of the processing; the categories of personal data concerned; who else outside us might have received the data from us; what the source of the information was (if you did not provide it directly to us); and how long it will be stored. You have a right to correct (rectify) the record of your personal data maintained by us if it is inaccurate. You may request that we erase that data, cease or restrict processing it, subject to certain exceptions. In the case of automated decision making, including profiling, you may request human intervention or challenge a decision.
In many countries, you have a right to lodge a complaint with the appropriate data protection authority if you have concerns about how we process your Information. When technically feasible, we will at your request provide your Information to you or transmit it directly to another controller.
This app does use short-lived session cookies (small text files stored on the users' devices internal memory) which are used to facilitate certain functionality such as member login. These first-party cookies do not contain any personal information, are not used to track you around the web, and are deleted automatically after expiry.
Blocking first-party cookies may break some app functionality.
We value your trust in providing us with your personal information, thus we are striving to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. But remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
